Want To Save This Recipe?
I really hate wasting food. It's so frustrating to spend good money on food only for it to end up in the trash. And with food prices constantly going up, it's getting more and more important to not waste anything.
In a previous post, I shared how I use day old croissants to make homemade croutons. Well now we're going to turn leftover bagels into homemade bagel chips!
Why You'll Love It
- Easy - Only 3 ingredients and ready in 10 minutes
- Customizable - Add different seasonings and flavor combinations
- Delicious - Pack some of these everything bagel chips with your lunch, or serve as an appetizer with spinach dip, hummus, or smoked cream cheese
How To Make Everything Bagel Chips

Gather all the ingredients, and use a knife to cut your bagel into slices about ⅛ thick.

Drizzle the bagel slices with olive oil and sprinkle on the everything bagel seasoning.

Cook in an air fryer at 400 F until browned to your liking (about 5 to 7 minutes is the sweet spot).

Remove from the air fryer and serve.
Variations and Substitutions
- Instead of everything bagel seasoning, you can also try other flavors like ranch, garlic parmesan, salt, BBQ rub, or cheese flavoring.
- This works with any kind of bagel too! I like making pumpernickel bagel chips with a touch of salt.
Can You Make Bagel Chips In The Oven?
Absolutely! If I only have one leftover bagel I just use air fryer. But if I have a few bagels to slice into bagel chips I use the oven. Lay them flat on a greased baking sheet in a single layer and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes.
